Hulu recently announced that one of its most successful original series: “East Los High” has been renewed for season 4. This makes the hit teen drama, the very first original series on Hulu to accomplish this.
According to the East Los High website, the show is one of the few English-language series featuring all Latino actors. This also includes the creators and writers being of Latino descent. The show centers on the lives of young Latinos growing up in an underrepresented neighborhood in East Los Angeles. This is where they come across the various challenges and joys that come along with being a teenager. The teen drama is a combination of humor, suspense, and transformative plots.
In addition to being an engaging show, the series also skillfully covers topics including same-sex couples, relationships, pregnancies, safe sex, and families with undocumented family members.
The cast includes Vannessa Vasquez, Danielle Vega, Alicia Sixtos, Gabriel Chavarria, Rene Alvarado, Tracy Perez, and Ashley Campuzano. The executive producers and creators of “East Los High” include Carlos Portugal, Kathleen Bedoya, Katie Elmore Mota, and Mauricio Mota.
Season 4 of “East Los High” will premiere in 2016.
