According to ScreenRant, Hulu recently revealed an official trailer for their A24 series Such Brave Girls. The new series is a family sitcom created and written by comedian Kat Sadler (Tell Me Everything) who will also be starting in the series. The series, which originally was for BBC Three, is being produced by Val and A24 and premieres on Hulu on December 15th.
Below is the trailer for the series which showcases a sample of the family sitcom.
According to ScreenRant, the synopsis of the series states that it follows sisters Josie and Billie as well as their mother Deb as they try to navigate through life. They do this while having nothing more than poor judgment and self-esteem dependent on unreliable and uncaring people. The series is filled with dry humor and quick wit and will captivate many viewers who have enjoyed other BBC comedies in the past. Although the series is a work of fiction, it was based on a conversation that Sadler and her sister had at the start of the COVID-19 lockdown. In the conversation they both shared things that they had kept from one another and Sadler realized how the power of comedy can help with some of the hardest moments in life.
The cast for the series includes Sadler as Josie, newcomer Lizzie Davidson as Billy, Louise Brealey (Lockwood & Co.) as Deb, Paul Bazely (Cruella) as Dev, Sam Buchanan (The Power) as Nicky, Freddie Meredith (The Crown) as Seb, Carla Woodcock (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder) as Bianca, Amy Trigg (Luther: The Fallen Sun) as Claire, Jude Mack (Clash of Futures) as Sid, Richard Cunningham (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) as Reverend Peter, Haruka Kuroda (Killing Eve) as a prenatal nurse, and many others.
Such Brave Girls premieres on Hulu on December 15th.
