According to ScreenRant, the original Hulu mystery series Death And Other Details has received an update on a possible second season. While speaking with TheWrap, series creators Heidi Cole McAdams (The 100) and Mike Weiss (Chicago P.D.) gave a very optimistic update as well as details to the story of the new season.
According to ScreenRant, McAdams said, “The four people who are standing there looking at the severed leg at the end of Season one — Imogene, Leila, Teddy, and Jules — we’ve talked about them being the people that carry us into a future season to investigate more crimes.”
McAdams continues, “The show is really about the rise of the next World’s Greatest Detective in Imogene. She goes from being someone who tries to do it all herself to being part of a team of sleuths. I mean, attractive, young, brilliant people going off to solve more murders together feels fun to us. I don’t think every season of the show is going to feel like a new Agatha Christie reset. We were using that because that’s the world that Rufus Cotesworth comes from. If we’re lucky enough to make more, we’ll be different every year, I think.”
Weiss says, “We’ve been talking about what would it look like in Season 2 if we were inspired by Sherlock Holmes?”
McAdams concludes, “There will certainly be more murder if we are so lucky to be able to make more. But it’s not a whole reset of the table.”
Death And Other Details is a murder mystery series that takes place on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean. The cast includes Violett Beane (The Flash) as Imogene, Laura Patten (Blue Bloods) as Anna, Angela Zhou (Hell on Wheels) as Teddy, Hugo Diego Garcia (Sentinelles) as Jules, Pardis Saremi (Hell of a Summer) as Leila, Linda Emond (Only Murders in the Building) as Agent Hilde Eriksen, and Mandy Patinkin (Homeland) as Rufus Cotesworth.
Season one of Death And Other Details is available to stream on Hulu.
