The actress from Crazy Ones replaces Smash alum Krysta Rodriguez who was previously cast for the role.
Tiya Sircar has been cast for one of the lead roles on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother spinoff titled How I Met Your Dad. The series will tell the story from a female point of view, that of Sally (Greta Gerwig) and it focuses of a new group of friends in New York.
Sircar, who appeared in Lifetime’ s Witches of East End, will play the role of Juliet, Sally’s sexy and flamboyant best friend. The actressr epped by TalentWorks and Elevate Entertainment has also a role in The Internship and is the lead in indie comedy Miss India America, as noted by Deadline.
HIMYM creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are writing and executive producing the pilot, alongside Emily Spivey. The pilot is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television.
