Reports are alleging The Witcher‘s Henry Cavill was injured during the filming of the Netflix series, according to Comicbook.com. In story from The Sun, sources state Cavill, who stars as Geralt in the live adaptation, may have hit his leg against something or sustained a pulled muscle.
According to Comicbook.com, source told the Sun “The filming has been hit because of what happened to Henry. He was on an assault course and injured his leg. He just suddenly pulled up and was clearly in a lot of pain. It wasn’t clear if an object had hit his leg or it was some sort of hamstring or muscle injury.” The report claims an ambulance was not called, but Cavill was having difficulty walking.
“He has to wear heavy armour in the scenes and he just wouldn’t be able to do it with his leg injury,” the source said, via Comicbook.com. The second season of the Netflix hit is currently filming at Arborfield Studios in the UK. The synopsis can be read below:

According to reports from Deadline, production is continuing without Cavill at this time. Filming for the Netflix series experienced two previous production shutdowns earlier this year. Both shutdowns – one in March and another in mid-August – were caused by positive COVID-19 cases.
Based on the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski (The Last Wish, Blood of Elves), The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia combat a world where humans seem more terrifying than the beasts he slays. According to Comicbook.com, the series also stars Anya Chalotra (Wanderlust, The ABC Murders) as Yenneefer and Freya Allan (Gunpowder Milkshake, The Third Day) as Princess Cirilla or Ciri. The supporting cast includes Emma Appleton (Traitors, Clique), Joey Batey (The White Queen, Knightfall), MyAnna Buring (The Descent, Ripper Street), Eamon Farren (The ABC Murders), Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson (The Lava Field, Elven Men Out), Adam Levy (Gladiator, Before I Go to Sleep), Jodhi May (The Last of the Mohicans, A World Apart), Lars Mikkelsen (The Killing, House of Cards), Maciej Musial (1983, The Voice of Poland), Mimi Ndiweni (Black Earth Rising, Cinderella), Royce Pierreson (Love Me Till Monday, Judy), Therica Wilson-Read (Fox Trap, Suicide Club), Wilson Radjou-Pujalte (Jamillah and Aladdin, Hunter Street), and Anna Shaffer (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, I Am Vengeance).
Apart from the Netflix series, The Witcher books also inspired a successful video game franchise, with the latest edition The Witcher 3 being released in 2015. Season one of The Witcher is available to stream on Netflix.
