HBO has just released a trailer and premiere date for Andy Samberg’s 7 Days In Hell follow-up, Tour De Pharmacy.
According to Deadline, the 50-minute cycling mockumentary will premiere on HBO at 10 p.m. on July 8th. Tour De Pharmacy reunites Samberg with his 7 Days In Hell crew of writer Murray Miller (Girls, American Dad) and director Jake Szymanski (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates).
Tour De Pharmacy focuses on five cyclists during a fictitious period in 1982 of universal doping among the cycling community. The mockumentary will examine the morally reprehensible group of cyclists in the 1982 Tour De France as they look back upon their antics and depravity, including John Cena’s character putting someone in a head lock. Samberg is joined by a long list of talent that includes Cena, Daveed Diggs, Orlando Bloom, Freddie Highmore, Jeff Goldblum, Danny Glover, Julia Ormond, Dolph Lundgren, James Marsden, Kevin Bacon, Nathan Fielder, Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, Joe Buck, Mike Tyson, J.J. Abrams, Phylicia Rashad, Chris Webber, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Lance Armstrong.
Samberg and Murray executive produce Tour De Pharmacy, their second mockumentary for HBO following 2015’s tennis mockumentary 7 Days In Hell, which saw Samberg and Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harrington as bitter tennis rivals. Tour De Pharmacy premieres on HBO on July 8th.
