According to the press release by Warner Bros. Discovery, HBO has announced the premiere date for the original drama series LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE. The series will air on Sunday, February 15, from 8-9 p.m. Eastern Time. It will stream on HBO Latino in the U.S. and will be available to stream on HBO Max. LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE will release weekly until its finale on Sunday, March 22.
As per the press release, the official logline of the second and final season of LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE is as follows: “Tita finds in Dr. Brown the promise of a different destiny one where sweetness offers refuge. But Pedro’s return reignites a forbidden passion that defies rules and traditions. Against the backdrop of a Mexico marked by violence and social transformation, traumas, losses, and secrets push every character to confront their limits and decide how much they’re willing to risk for love and freedom. Amid the magic of the kitchen and the strength of their emotions, Tita and Pedro discover that some loves are meant to burn forever. The series combines magical realism connected with traditional Mexican dishes and ancestral alchemy as a vivid portrayal of Mexican culture, weaving love, family, and lore into a visually stunning story that honors heritage and emotion.”
According to the press release, the season two cast includes Irene Azuela (The Obscure Sprind, The Diary) as Mama Elena, Azul Guaita (Zoomers, Night Shift) as Tita, Ana Valeria Becerril (Isla Oculta, Sister’ Feud) as Rosaura, Andrea Chaparro (Have a Nice Day!, Rebelde) as Gertrudis, Andrés Baida (Mi Secreto, Control Z) as Pedro, Francisco Angellini (Blind Waters, La Leona) as Dr.Brown, Ángeles Cruz (Tierra, Medusa) as Nacha, Mauricio García Lozano (All the Silence, Before I Forget) as Don Pedro Muzquiz, Ari Brickman (Technoboys, Pedro Paramo) as Felipe Muzquiz, and Louis David Horné (La piel ajena, Malibu) as Juan Alejandrez.
