HBO Max’s ‘Love Life’ Adds Four More To The Cast

HBO Max’s new anthology series, Love Life, adds four more actors to their cast. The show currently stars Pitch Perfect’s star Anna Kendrick and 12 Years A Slave star Scoot McNairy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, each season of the show will tell the story of a different protagonist on their journey from their first love to their last love. Each episode will be a half-hour long episode that will show each one of the protagonist’s relationships.

Kendrick will be playing Darby who leads “historically significant butts” tour at a museum tour company that is run by Bradley, who will be played by McNairy. Bradley will have a stunning fiancé and a successful business but he will have a roving eye on Darby.

Facebook Watch’s Strangers star Zoe Chao has been added to the cast as Sara. Sara is Darby’s best friend and long term roommate who is sweet and big-hearted, but has bad judgment. She is in a long term relationship with Jim and has chosen to be Darby’s relationship coach even though her love life is not as stable as it appears to be.

Mozart In The Jungle’s Peter Vack will be playing Jim, Sara’s boyfriend. Jim is a staffer at Politico, and is pretty easy going but still has an edge. His relationship with Sara is something that Darby aspires to have, but the relationship also runs hot and cold and it is not designed to last forever.

Miracle Workers’ Sasha Compère is set to play Mallory. Mallory is Sara and Darby’s outspoken roommate who uses her bluntness and dry humor to tell Darby the harsh realities that she will need to hear.

According to Variety, Love Life was created by Sam Boyd, and will be produced by Lionsgate Television and Feigco Entertainment. A Simple Favor, The Heat, and Spy director Paul Feig will executive produce the show alongside Jessie Henderson, Boyd, Bridget Bedard, and Dan Magnante all under Feigco Entertainment. The series marks the continuous collaboration between Feig and Kendrick since the duo worked together in the film A Simple Favor. It is also Kendrick’s first starring role in a television series.
