HBO Max announced that there will be a fourth season of Titans coming, via Variety. The news came from the DC FanDome event on Oct. 16th. Season three of Titans is currently airing and the last episode will premiere on Oct. 21st. Titans joins Doom Patrol and others as DC series that earned renewals from the DC FanDome.
Titans made its debut on HBO Max back in 2018. Filmed and produced in Toronto, the superhero series features settings in various locations such as Detroit and San Francisco. The story follows young superheroes of the eponymous team as they fight against evils and tackle challenges. To combat crimes, the superheroes reform the Titans team with new members joining. Major members include Dick Grayson, Kory Anders, Rachel Roth, and Gar Logan. In the third season, the story takes place at Gotham City, where the heroes reunite with old friends and face new threats.
The superhero series stars Brenton Thwaites (The Giver), Anna Diop (Us), Teagan Croft (The Osiris Child), Ryan Potter (Supah Ninjas), Conor Leslie (Chained), Curran Walters (Do Not Reply), and more. A few new faces joined this season, such as Savannah Welch (Boyhood) and Jay Lycurgo (War Of The Worlds). It’s speculated that more newcomers will be joining the upcoming season of Titans.
Akiva Goldsman (Winter’s Tale), Geoff Johns (Green Lantern), and Greg Berlanti (Love, Simon) developed the series. Along with these three developers, Greg Walker (Without A Trace), Sarah Schechter (Unpregnant), and Richard Hatem (Miracles) all serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Goldsman’s Weed Road Pictures and Schechter’s Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Other than announcing the fourth season, FanDome 2021 also released an exclusive clip of the season three finale, which will air on October 21. As for now, the plot of season four is yet to be revealed. However, fans have started to anticipate more information coming after the finale is aired.
