Only two days away from its premiere, Wonder Woman 1984 will be streaming Christmas day on HBO Max. Starring Gal Gadot (Justice League) in the titular role and directed by Patty Jenkins (The Killing), the first film in the series broke down barriers in 2017 when it depicted women warriors taking the lead and saving the day. But, nothing quite compares to the impact the original Wonder Woman series had, now streaming on HBO Max.

Containing four seasons, it became a smash hit along with Carter becoming a star. Along with Carter the series also starred Lyle Waggoner(The Carol Burnett Show) as Steve Trevor. The first season took place in the 1940s and was titled The New, Original Wonder Woman, airing on ABC. The subsequent seasons moved to CBS with the new added title The New Adventures of Wonder Woman, taking place in the 70s. A total of 60 episodes, they’re all available to stream including the original pilot.

Carter is said to be making a small cameo in the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 film in a nod to the franchise’s origins. Posting on Twitter in honor of HBO Max launching the original series, Carter also promoted the upcoming film. See her full tweet below:
