HBO And Max CEO Casey Bloys Gives An Update On Season Three Of ‘Euphoria’

According to Comicbook, HBO and Max content chairman and CEO Casey Bloys recently gave an update on season three of the teen drama Euphoria. While speaking to Variety, Bloys gave an update on many series. When it came to  Euphoria he mentioned that executive producer Sam Levinson (The Idol) is in the process of writing the third installment of the series.

Bloys said, “Obviously the cast have all become stars, which you love to see — and Zendaya (Spider-Man: No Way Home) is obviously a big movie star. So, there is a practical reality to that. But it also depends on the stories Sam wants to tell. He’s in the thick of writing Season three right now and we’ll leave it up to him and have those conversations about what he wants to do”

Euphoria was renewed for a third season back in February 2022 and is speculated to return in 2025 with a time skip from where the last season ended. The series follows the life of Rue who is a drug addict who even though fresh out of rehab has zero intention to stay sober, as well as her friends who also deal with their issues. The series deals with substance-enhanced parties, as well as anxiety-ridden day-to-day life for all the characters.

The cast for the series includes Zendaya as Rue Bennett, Hunter Schafer (Belle) as Jules Vaughn, Jacob Elordi (The Kissing Booth) as Nate Jacobs, Maude Apatow (The King of Staten Island) as Lexi Howard,  Alexa Demie (The Neighbourhood: Stargazing) as Maddy Perez, Sydney Sweeney (The White Lotus) as Cassie Howard, Nika King (Funny Married Stuff) as Leslie Bennett, the late Angus Cloud (North Hollywood) as Fezco, and many others

All current seasons of Euphoria are available to stream on Max. The series is anticipated to return in 2025.
