Disney+ has dropped the teaser for the finale of Hawkeye which teases a surprise villain and the epic final battle between Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and the Tracksuit Mafia.
The teaser starts with Kate ensuring Clint that she is ready for the big battle to come. As the tagline teases, the Marvel Universe is getting a lot bigger — hinting at the official debut of Vicent D’Onoforio’s (Daredevil) Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, in the MCU.
In last week’s episode, titled “Ronin”, the involvement of Kingpin was the big reveal at the end. It was also revealed that Kate’s mother, Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga), was working with Kingpin as she was the one who hired Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) to assassinate Clint.
The finale will conclude multiple storylines in the series including Kate’s journey to taking the Hawkeye mantle, the mystery of Armand Ducquense, and Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) realizing the truth behind her father’s death.
Hawkeye has been acclaimed by both critics and fans with the series receiving a 92 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the series has experienced a viewership drop compared to its predecessors like Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and its recent numbers trail behind WandaVision.
Hawkeye will conclude on Wednesday, December 22 on Disney+. Check out the teaser below.
