Pompeo will serve as an executive producer on the book adaptation from Rachel Carey’s novel Debt, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
The 2013 novel follows the life of SAT tutor Lillian during the 2008 financial meltdown in New York. She she works towards paying off her college loans, it becomes evident that everyone she knows, even her wealthy father, is in somebody’s debt.
The television project of the same name is currently in its development stage.
