The ER alum was just cast on the new CBS show, according to TVLine.
Visnjic just got the leading male role and he’ll be playing John, married to Molly Watts (Halle Berry).
Molly’s an astronaut who just got back from an year-long mission alone in space and she’s trying to re-adapt to her “normal” life, which includes re-adapting to her marriage too. Little does she know that her actions, both on earth and outer space, will change History.
Goran Visnjic is most known for her role as Dr. Luka Kovac on ER for nine whole years (1999-2008), even though since then he’s been in a great number of shows, like The Deep, Pan Am, Leverage and Red Widow.
Extant‘s cast up until now includes Halle Berry in the leading role, as Molly Watts, and also Michael O’Neill as Alvin Sparks, “a former astronaut who now directs the series’ privatized space program”.
Extant will premiere on CBS on July 2nd.
