‘Ghosts’ On CBS Is Ready For Its Third Season Release In February 2024

Season three of the CBS sitcom Ghosts has been confirmed with release date of February next year. Since the conclusion of SAG-AFTRA’s strike, details about the story and cast have been revealed. Via Screenrant, in April of 2019, the BBC premiered the original Ghosts series. Two years later, CBS released the American version, with different cast and similar storyline. CBS’ first two seasons scored a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The American Ghosts series stars Rose McIver (iZombie), as Sam, and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Free Guy), as Jay, a married couple from New York. The couple move into a run-down mansion after they inherit it from Sam’s aunt. Sam is involved in an accident that left her clinically dead for several minutes, but upon returning to the mansion following her close call, she discovers her new home is filled with ghosts she can communicate with. The ghosts include Captain Isaac Higgintoot played by Brandon Scott Jones (Renfield), Alberta Haynes played by Danielle Pinnock (Candy Cane Lane), Pete Martino played by Riche Moriarty (Going in Style), Trevor Lefkowitz played by Asher Grodman (Handsome Harry), Thorfinn played by Devan Chandler (Ambulance), Henrietta Woodstone played by Rebecca Wisocky (Funny Money), and Sasappis played by Román Zaragoza (Shadow Wolves). All of the ghosts that Sam encounters have died on the mansion’s property at varying points in time. Viewers learn of the ghosts’ deaths, and what gives them each their own unique quirks and personalities.

According to Screenrant, season three of Ghosts will return to CBS on February 15, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. The announcement of the show’s continuation was made by Entertainment President of CBS, Amy Reisenbach, nine months ago. The decision to renew the series came from the great viewer numbers. Ghosts is one of several shows returning in February, with others including Young Sheldon, NCIS, and FBI.
