‘Gen V’ Gears Up for Season Two: Update On Production

Season two of Prime Video’s hit series Gen V, the spin-off to The Boys, is about to ramp up production. According to Comicbook, the shows writer, Thomas Schnauz (Infected) has stated that they will start filming in the next month, and said in an interview,”They start shooting in not too long up in Canada, probably two or three weeks.”” to say: and he said in an interview that they will start “shooting in not too long up in Canada, probably two or three weeks.” The action spin-off follows several teens with superpowers as they have to balance life in college along with the mystery behind their university.

According to ComicbookThe Boy’s creator, Eric Kripke (Supernatural) stated that the upcoming season will tie directly with The Boys season four, and he commented in an interview with Arc studio.

“The Homelander stuff felt, to us, like a culmination of this season of Gen V, and I would say the Butcher cameo is more than anything else what sets up Season 4,”  Kripke said in chat with Men’s Health last year. “Butcher, heading into Season 4, is well aware that there’s this virus out there that can kill superheroes. So, we wanted to see the ground zero of that moment, which is what we did in the very, very last moments of this season of Gen V.”

The first season ended with Maria, played by Jaz Sinclair (Slender Man), Andre, played Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Jordan, played by Derek Luh (Smoke One)/London Thor (Lady Bird), and Emma, played by Lizze Broadway (Ghosted), waking up trapped inside a sealed room. Butcher. played by Karl Urban (Star Trek), made a cameo exploring The Woods facility.

While waiting for a confirmation on the release date of the second season, the entire previous one is available to stream on Prime Video. Alongside the update on Gen V, the fourth season of The Boys is scheduled to makes its debut on June 13.
