‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 to Shoot Partly in Spain

A part of the fifth season of the HBO series will shoot in several locations on the province of Seville, Andalusia.

HBO announced that part of the season 5 of Game of Thrones will be shot in the Province of Seville and more details about the locations will be announced later, as reported by The Wrap. Peter Welter Soler’s Fresco Film Services will provide production services in Spain.The filming, which will take place later in 2014, will be supporter by The Andalusia Film Commission, Seville Film Office and Osuna Film Office.

Game of Thrones, which will begin filming its fifth season in Belfast later this month, also filmed in Croatia, Scotland, Iceland, Malta and Morocco. According to Spain’s radio station Cadena Ser, Seville’s spectacular Alcazar, a former fort and now still-used royal palace, with a Moorish courtyard, reflecting pool and sunken gardens — will be transformed into the Water Gardens of Dorne, the private residence of the House of Martell, and a favorite place of Prince Doran Martell.
