For all the horror-loving Donald Glover fans out there who grew up hearing Pamela Adlon’s voice as Pajama Sam or Spinelli on Recess, FX has quite a lineup of shows for you this fall.
Deadline reports that FX has confirmed premiere dates for season 6 of horror juggernaut American Horror Story, Donald Glover’s Atlanta and Pamela Adlon’s Better Things. New comedies Atlanta and Better Things are both set to premiere the same week, with Atlanta on Tuesday, September 6th, and Better Things on Thursday, September 8th. The new season of AHS will premiere the following week on Wednesday, September 14th. All three shows are scheduled to air at 10 p.m.
This season of American Horror Story seems to be even more secretive than usual. A teaser logo has been revealed for the upcoming season, but there has been no information yet as to the theme or title this time around. Hopefully with the release of the logo last week, and now with a set air date, more details about next season will begin to surface.
Donald Glover’s Atlanta centers on cousins Earn Marks (Glover) and Alfred Marks (Brian Tyree Henry) as they navigate the Atlanta music scene in an attempt to move up in the world. Alfred is an on-the-rise rapper, and Earn acts as his manager by trying to keep him in line and get his career on the right track. The half-hour series also stars Lakeith Lee Stanfield and Zazie Beetz. MGMT Entertainment’s Dianne McGunigle and Paul Simms are executive producers on the series with Glover.
Better Things, created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K., follows a single mother of three (Adlon) as she tries to make a living in L.A. as an actor. Adlon’s character, as the teaser shows, is not afraid to speak her mind and let people know what she thinks of them. Better Things also stars Celia Imrie as her British expat mother who lives across the street, and Mikey Madison, Hannah Alligood and Olivia Edward as her daughters. C.K. and Adlon are executive producers on the half-hour series with Blair Breard, Dave Becky and 3 Arts Entertainment.
