‘Fuller House’ Officially Renewed for a Second Season

Full House & Fuller House fans will be pleased to know that Fuller House has already been renewed for a second season. The first season of the series premiered less than a week ago before Netflix made the announcement on Twitter.

Fuller House stars Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber who all had roles in the original Full House. Fuller House focuses on D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Bure) who became a recently widowed mother of three boys. Eventually D.J.’s single sister Stephanie (Sweetin) offers to help raise the three boys along with recently divorced Kimmy Gibler (Barber).

Michael Campion (Jackson) and Elias Harger (Max) portray D.J.’s two oldest children followed by baby Tommy who is played by twins Dashiell and Fox Messitt. Kimmy’s daughter Ramona (Soni Bringas) also stars in the series and joins her mother as a new resident of the Fuller House.

Jeff Franklin and Robert L. Boyett were both executive producers for the original Full House and they also served as executive producers for Fuller House. John Stamos who played the popular Uncle Jesse in the series, assisted Franklin and Boyett as an executive producer for the reboot.

Stamos, Bob Saget (Danny), Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky), and Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey) make recurring guest appearances in Fuller House. Even Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit who played Becky and Jesse’s twins (Nicky and Alex) returned. However, as most people know, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen who famously portrayed Michelle in Full House, didn’t make an appearance in Fuller House.

Though the first season does purposely make several references to Michelle such as when Danny (Saget) tells his family that Michelle isn’t there because she’s too busy trying to run a fashion empire in New York. After he says this, the whole cast looks directly into the camera for quite a while as the crowd laughs. For those unaware, the Olsen twins are actual fashion designers in New York. Later in the series, there’s a scene where Kimmy, D.J., and Stephanie call Michelle but she doesn’t pick up so they leave her a drunken voicemail.

If you haven’t already, you can catch Fuller House on Netflix.
