Following the conclusion of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Fox has set midseason release dates for the return of shows Animal Control starring Joel McHale (Community), The Cleaning Lady starring Elodie Yung (Daredevil), and Alert: Missing Persons Unit starring Scott Caan (Hawaii Five-0). It has been decided that these scripted shows will return to the network in March of 2024. According to Deadline, it has also been announced that Family Guy will be moving to a midweek slot following Animal Control on Wednesdays.
Fox’s reality series such as Celebrity Name That Tune, The Masked Singer, Farmer Wants A Wife, and Next Level Chef were given midseason airing dates. Two new unscripted reality series, We Are Family and The Floor, have also been given premiere dates in early 2024. Fox is not the only network to release their midseason schedule following the conclusions of the writers and actors strikes; ABC and NBC have set theirs as well.
ABC’s Will Trent, The Good Doctor, Abbott Elementary, and The Rookie will make their return in February, followed by Grey’s Anatomy, 9-1-1, and Station 19 in March. On NBC, One Chicago and Law & Order will make their comeback to television in mid-January.
Via Deadline, Alert: Missing Persons Unit season two will return to Fox Tuesday March 5, at 9pm, following season three of The Cleaning Lady at 8pm. Animal Control season two will return the following night at 9pm. Family Guy’s new slot will start after Animal Control at 9:30pm. The new reality series The Floor, makes its debut right after the new year on January 2 at 9pm, and We Are Family joins the Fox family January 3, also at 9pm.
Fox will have no shortage of fan favorites and new shows available following the new year.
