Fox Cancels ‘The Big Leap’ After Debut Season

Fox’s The Big Leap has been canceled after just one season, according to VarietyThe series was created and executive produced by Liz Heldens (Friday Night Lights), Jason Winer (Modern Family), and Sue Naegle (Soundtrack).

The Big Leap, which starred Scott Foley (Whiskey Cavalier), Teri Polo (Meet the Parents), Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly), and Simone Recasner (Sink Sank Sunk), followed a group of down-on-their-luck characters who decide to participate in a dance show – a reimagining of “Swan Lake.”

The series averaged a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49, and 2.8 million viewers in its 11-episode first season. Alongside The Big Leap, Fox’s Our Kind of People, which also debuted in 2021, is still awaiting a renewal or cancellation decision. Meanwhile, Fox’s Bob’s Burgers, Duncanville, Fantasy Island, Family Guy, The Great North, Housebroken, and The Simpsons, have all received series renewals.

The Big Leap also starred Kevin Daniels (Atypical), Ser’Darius Blain (Jumanji: The Next Level), Jon Rudnitsky (Set it Up), Mallory Jansen (Her Pen Pal), and Anna Grace Barlow (Summer Forever).
