Fargo Premiere Brings in Strong Ratings for FX

FX’s original miniseries Fargo pulled in 2.65 million viewers in its debut last night.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the three plays of Fargo throughout the night had 4.5 million viewers, with 1.8 in the 18-49 year old adult demographic. For comparison, recently renewed FX show The Americans had 1.9 million viewers for its premiere.

Fargo is billed as mini series, but can also be described as anthology series, as showrunner Noah Hawley stated, “It’s an anthology. If you did a second 10-hour movie, it would be a completely new story from the Coen brothers universe.” Fargo shows on FX Tuesdays at 10 pm.
