‘Euphoria’ Season Three Set for 2025

Deadline has reported that the third season of HBO’s teen drama series Euphoria will be returning in 2025. The news came from HBO Chief Casey Bloys at presentation in New York City on Thursday, according to Deadline.

Euphoria is created, written, and produced by Sam Levinson (The Idol, Malcolm & Marie). The series first debuted on HBO on June 16, 2019 and finished on August 4, 2019, with the second season premiering on the network on January 9, 2022 and finishing on February 27, 2022.

Levinson stated that the third season of the series would be “film noir” in an interview with Elle in August. In the same interview with Elle, Levinson said that Rue, played by Zendaya (Spiderman: No Way Home, Dune), would “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”

Along with Zendaya, Euphoria stars Sydney Sweeney (The Voyeurs, The White Lotus) as Cassie Howard, Hunter Schafer (Cuckoo, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) as Jules Vaughn, Alexa Demie (Mid90s, Waves) as Maddy Perez, Barbie Ferreira (Nope, The Afterparty) as Kat Hernandez, Angus Cloud (Your Lucky Day, The Line) as Fezco, and Jacob Elordi (The Kissing Booth, Saltburn) as Nate Jacobs.

The cast also features Maude Apatow (The King of Staten Island, This Is 40) as Lexi Howard, Storm Reid (The Last of Us, A Wrinkle in Time) as Gia Bennett, Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, The Last Ship) as Cal Jacobs, Nika King (50 First Dates, 65) as Leslie Bennett, Algee Smith (The Hate U Give, The New Edition Story) as Chris McKay, and Austin Abrams (Paper Towns, Do Revenge) as Ethan.

Euphoria is based on Daphna Levin (Miguel, Eagles) and Ron Leshem’s (The Gordin Cell, No Man’s Land) series of the same name.

Season three of HBO’s Euphoria will likely undergo unforeseen changes due to the recent unexpected death of Cloud, who played Fez.
