Shadows have settled over the rain slicked streets of the 1930’s New York within Spider Noir. According to Comicbook,  the detective style marvel series had mage a huge success with have garnered an outstanding 92% on Rotten Tomato, which shows that the narrative as truly captivate fans worldwide. The plot follows Ben Riley, played by Nicholas Cage (Into the Spiderverse, Ghost Rider), a private investigator that finds himself in the middle of conspiracy leading him towards the boss, Silverman, played by Brendan Gleeson (Braveheart, Troy).

Stated by Comicbook, despite the solid score, Spider Noir will not be continuing on with any more seasoons. The series showrunner, Oren Uziel (Shimmer Lake, The Cloverfield Paradox) goes on to speak with Variety on the series being complete ,”We made a very closed-ended show. There’s a reason we were honoring these old noirs,” he said. “The story begins when the client comes into the private detective’s office, and it ends when they solve the case. So, it was nicely buttoned up. We told a story. It felt a little bit like a long movie.”

He further add if the series continue about the change in setting,”“You’re starting in 1933. Where is that heading? It’s heading toward just a most cataclysmic time — World War II. There was a lot of storytelling that could have happened there.” Stated by Comicbook, the new setting either in Europe or Los Angeles, hints that Ben could have faced new villains, such as a period-accurate Green Goblin.

Uziel further stated his regret, “My biggest regret about not having another season is that I don’t get to do it again with these people,” he said. “Like I don’t have the show or the movie lined up to get everybody back together.”

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the future of the series, Spider-Noir has established itself as an exceptional addition to the Spider-Man universe. All episodes of Spider-Noir are available to stream on Prime Video, presented in both black-and-white and full-color versions.
