‘Doctor Who’ Season Three Might Return Sooner Confirmed By The Doctor Himself, Ncuti Gatwa

News has arisen that the continuous sci-fi series Doctor Who will return for a third season, as confirmed by Ncuti Gatwa (Barbie), who plays the titled character. According to Comicbook, the news was revealed that Gatwa and Millie Gibson (Coronation Street), who plays Ruby Sunday, will return to reprise their roles in the upcoming season. They will both be accompanied by Varadu Sethu (Andor), whose role has yet to be released.

New episodes will start with the Christmas special directed by former showrunners Steven Moffat (Sherlock) and Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton). Most of the second season has already wrapped up production. In a recent interview with Comicbook, Gatwa expressed his excitement about returning to the iconic role, as he revealed, “It is all going well, we did the second series this year, the Christmas special is coming up, and we are filming a third series next year.

According to Comicbook, it was also revealed a the San Diego comic-con that along with the new season, there will be a new spinoff series titled The War Between the Land and the Sea, which will be produced by Bad Wolf and BBC. The creation of a spin-off could aid in further expanding the Whoniverse and could lead to the creation of future series within the franchise.
