‘Doctor Who’ Actor John Simm will Star in BBC America’s ‘Intruders’

The British actor will lead in the drama series from Glen Morgan.

Doctor Who alum John Simm will star in the paranormal drama series from BBC America. The series are set in Pacific Northwest where unrelated events start happening. Many storyline will interweave and soon they will reveal a conspiracy that will change the understanding of human nature.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Simm will play the role of Jack Whelan, a cop from Los Angeles who is now a writer and who has escaped a dark and violent past. He is now living a quiet life with his wife Amy, but when she goes Missing, he starts investigating. All these things will make Jack confront his sins of the past.

The series based on a novel of the same name by Michael Marshall Smith are executive produced and written by Glen Morgan. The thriller story centers a secret society devoted to pursuing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others.

With these series, John Simm returns to BBC America where he previously starred  in Life on Mars, State of Play and Doctor Who.

Intruders received a green light from BBC America in October 2013.
