The beloved Disney produced 2000 American fantasy-comedy television film, Life Size is coming back for a second outing. Life-Size 2 will bring original star Tyra Banks as Eve, back for the new take.
Similar to the original premise, Eve the popular children’s Barbie-like doll, will magically come to life once again in order to help someone. Grown-ish star Francia Raisa will play the film’s lead as a toy company CEO named Grace.
With her friends helps, she learns to come around to Eve’s charismatic and charming ways. Alison Fernandez (ABC’s Once Upon a Time), Gavin Stenhouse ( Netflix’s Black Mirror), Hank Chen (NBC’s Community), Shanica Knowles ( MTV’s Awkward.) join the supporting cast.
Filmed for the screen originally during 1999, Life-Size premiered as part of The Wonderful World of Disney on ABC, and made its début on the sister network, Disney Channel in March 2000.
The anthology series was in it’s ninth cycle when The Wonderful World of Disney returned in 1991 as an umbrella title for Disney specials airing on major networks (CBS airings used the historical title The Wonderful World of Disney, while other networks broadcast the show with another title, A Disney Special).
The film’s 1999 plot followed a widower’s (Jere Burns) daughter (Lindsay Lohan) after she accidentally brings her doll to life while trying to cast a spell to resurrect her mother instead.
High jinks and misunderstandings ensue, when the now life-size doll (Tyra Banks), begins to change things in the 13-year old’s life. The new film will debut on the formerly ABC Family network, Freeform, sometime during December this year.
