VisionQuest will now drop a day earlier than expected. Over on Twitter, Marvel confirmed that the long-awaited series will drop on October 13 at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET instead of the previously announced October 14.
VisionQuest is set to drop two episodes a week until its penultimate episode premieres solo on November 3, and its final episode also premieres on its own the week after. Eight episodes are expected to drop, with the first two, “No Strings” and “Theseus” set to drop tomorrow. These episodes will then be followed by “Reboot” and “Malware” on October 20, “Firewall” and “Deadlock” on October 27, “Immolation” on November 3, and “Forever” on November 10.
The move to release VisionQuest a day early comes as Disney seeks to scale back its Marvel Television endeavors. Wonder Man was recently cancelled despite critical acclaim and second season renewal, and it was also recently announced that Daredevil: Born Again would be ending with its third season, while the only other live-action series set to premiere (at some point in 2028) is Marvel’s Zodiac.
VisionQuest is the concluding series in the trilogy started by WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along. The series follows Paul Bettany (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War) as Vision, an android who is seeking a new identity. Joining him is Ruaridh Mollica (Sebastian, Too Rough) as Tommy Maximoff/Thomas Shepherd, Vision’s reincarnated son with Elizabeth Olsen’s (WandaVision, Love & Death) Wanda Maximoff. Complicating matters is James Spader’s (The Blacklist, Boston Legal) Ultron, who has been stuck inside of Vision’s mind since the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Vision must escape a bounty placed on his head while consulting the other AIs in his mind (Ultron, Jarvis, Friday, and Edith) in order to find new meaning in his life.
Stream #WandaVision and prepare for Marvel Television’s #VisionQuest premiering tomorrow at 6PM PT, only on Disney+.
