As we are well aware that Daredevil: Born Again will come back with a third season, however season three will be the last season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel studios has made the announcement to end the series after wrapping production of the third season. Spoiler alert for those who have not seen the series.

For those who don’t know, Daredevil: Born Again is a series that tells a story about Matthew Murdoch aka Daredevil who returns to fight crime in Hell’s Kitchen after stepping away from the mantle after failing to save his friend Foggy Nelson. While this has happened, his arch nemesis, Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin had ran and was elected mayor of New York. The two characters strived to be better than their counterparts, however they would end up assuming their roles and would go face to face against each other. In season two, Daredevil was building a resistance to take down Kingpin and in order to do so he would need allies and must expose Kingpin’s evil intentions.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the decision to end the series has come from Marvel who had also parted ways with showrunner Dario Scardapane whose contract had expired and was not renewed. With Scardapane exiting the show the question is who will be the new showrunner for the third and final season. Disney plus has also lowered their live TV output when it comes to its Marvel TV shows by lowering the amount of Marvel content that they make. Marvel’s latest series VisionQuest which is set to premiere in October while they had un-renewed their previous series Wonder Man despite the series gaining a great following in viewership.

The third season is set to premiere in the year 2027. In the meantime, you can check out the previous seasons on Disney+ while you wait for the final season.
