Disney+ Releases New TV Spot For ‘The Mandalorian’ Season Three During Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is always a wealth of commercials for upcoming films and shows for the year. Sunday’s competition between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs was no exception as Disney+ released a new TV spot for the third season of The Mandalorianaccording to Comicbook. Watch the new 30-second clip below.

Titled “Ready” the teaser showcases some slightly new footage of our stoic bounty hunter and his child companion as they race across the galaxy reuniting with old friends, making new allies, and dodging new threats. The third season actually picks up where viewers last saw Mando: on a mission to reunite with Grogu in the final episodes of the first season of The Book of Boba FettWith his child back in custody, our Mandalorian has set a course back to his native planet with hopes to make amends for past transgressions. But his trek will be easier said than done.

Not only is a new threat growing in strength on the outskirts of the galaxy, but Pedro Pascal’s (The Last of Us, Wonder Woman 1984) Mandalorian faces two adversaries for ownership of the Darksaber now in his possession. One is Giancarlo Esposito’s (Breaking Bad, Kaleidoscope) Moff Gideon, who had possession of the weapon in season one. The second is Katee Sackhoff’s (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Riddick) Bo-Katan Kryze, the Mandalorian royal, who feels the saber belongs to her.

In addition to Pascal, Esposito, and Sackhoff, returning cast includes Carl Weathers (Happy Gilmore, Predator), Amy Sedaris (Strangers With Candy, BoJack Horseman), and Emily Swallow (Monday Mornings, Haunting of the Mary Celeste), via Comicbook.

According to Comicbook, showrunner and head writer Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Chef) has gathered quite an esteemed list of directors for the show’s third entry. Some familiar names include Bryce Dallas Howard (Black Mirror, Jurassic World Dominion), Rick Famuyiwa (DOPE, Confirmation), and Weathers, as well as Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Across the Universe, Rise of the Guardians), Lee Isaac Chung (Minari, Lucky Life), and Rachel Morrison (Mudbound, Flint Strong).

The third season of The Mandalorian arrives on March 1 exclusively on Disney+.
