DirecTV’s Series Rogue Will Run a Second Season

Rogue, DirecTV’s first scripted series, will air another season. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the company announced the TV drama will begin production for the next season this summer. Season two will consist of ten episodes and run in 2014.

The show, created by Matthew Parkhill, airs on DirecTV’s Audience Network. Series Friday Night Lights and Damages were also hosted on the network.

Thandie Newton stars as Grace Travis, an undercover detective in search for her son’s killer. Marton Csokas plays crime boss Jimmy Laszio.

“We are thrilled that our first venture into original programming resonated with our subscribers who enthusiastically tuned into Rogue each week,” said DirecTV’s Chris Long in the announcement. “We look forward to bringing them another season of Rogue and the chance to experience the next chapter in Grace’s life.”

Indiewire reveals DirecTV’s additional project Full Circle, another original scripted series that will consist of ten, half-hour episodes. The show’s cast includes Bones’ David Boreanaz, Private Practice‘s Kate Walsh and the Killing‘s Billy Campbell. Full Circle will be Neil LaBute’s directional debut.
