Director Of Max’s ‘Harley Quinn’ Hints What Is To Come For Possible Sixth Season Of The Series

According to Collider, Dean Lorey (Those Who Can’t) the director of Max’s Harley Quinn has teased what is to come for the potential sixth installment of the series. Harley Quinn the animated series is currently airing its fifth season on Max and has not yet been renewed for another season but the director is very hopeful for the acrobatic anti-hero to continue her chaotic journey.

In an interview with The Direct Lorey said, “We have been talking about if we get a Season 6 — and we all certainly hope we do — what that might look like. And I think internally, we’re all really excited about what that season would be. And it’s something very different, and I think unexpected. So, we do have some thoughts for it.”

DC’s Harley Quinn animated series follows the gory but hilarious adventures of Harley and her new team as they learn to work together while also dealing with internal issues. Harley’s adventures start shortly after her break up with Joker as she then tries to strike out on her own. The series also has a spinoff series on Max titled Kite Man: Hell Yeah! available to stream on Max.

As per Collider, the series is separated from James Gunn’s (Guardians of the Galaxy) current DC Universe but still is allowed to have its extended canon to the universe. For the moment Lorey is not stating what is to be expected from the series whether it be more spinoffs or more seasons.

The cast of the animated series includes Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) as Harley Quinn, Lake Bell (No Strings Attached) as Poison Ivy, Alan Tudyk (Creature Commandos) as Clayface, Ron Funches (Everybody Still Hates Chris) as King Shark, J.B Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm) as Frank the Plant, Tony Hale (Arrested Development) as Dr. Psycho, Matt Oberg (Nobody Wants This) as Kite Man, James Adomian (City Island) as Bane, Diedrich Bader (Batman: Caped Crusader) as Batman and many others.

Harley Quinn is available to stream on Max with new episodes of the current season premiering every Thursday.
