Dermot Mulroney Stars In ‘Hanna’ Season Two As Antagonist

According to Entertainment Weekly, Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding) plays the newly introduced antagonist in the second season of Hanna. The series premieres July 3 on Amazon Prime.

Esmé Creed-Miles (Dark River) also stars as one of the supersoldiers; she plays the rebellious teenager Hanna. Mulroney talks to Entertainment Weekly and expands on this saying, “You have to [think of him as a villain] because of what you learn toward the end of the season. But as an actor, you don’t really approach it that way. And in this case I think it’s really clear that he believes deeply in what he’s doing. He’s no antagonist to Hanna, he has the best intentions with her. He needs to bring her in and take care of her. She’s a revelation; he didn’t know about her until she emerged from the forest in season 1. He has her best interests at heart because what’s good for Hanna is good for his program.”

Other cast members are include Mireille Enos (The Killing) as CIA operative Marissa Weigler, Anthony Welsh (Pure) as operations team member Leo Garner, and Yasmin Money Prince (Nocturnal) as trainee Clara Mahan.

You can catch up on the first season on Amazon Prime. The second season of Hanna is now available to stream on the streaming service as well.
