Denis O’Hare is returning to American Horror Story.
Showrunner Ryan Murphy announced on Saturday morning that the American Horror Story season one alum will return for the show’s third season, explains the Hollywood Reporter. O’Hare, who played Larry “The Burn Guy” Harvey on the FX anthology series’ first season, will come back into the American Horror Story family for its witch-themed third season, titled Coven.
Though little is known about Coven, producers said at PaleyFest in March that the series would again search for haunted places in America. Murphy previously told The Hollywood Reporter that the third season would feature three characters playing real people, including co-star Kathy Bates as one of them.
O’Hare, who earned a supporting actor Emmy nomination for his part in the first season, will be joining Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, and Gabourey Sidibe in addition to the returning cast members Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy and Lily Rabe.
The returning actor’s credits include The Good Wife, J. Edgar and Murphy’s adaptation of The Normal Heart for HBO. He is repped by Innovative.
Season three of American Horror Story will premiere in October.
