‘Delicious in Dungeon’ Scores Second Season On Netflix

With an incredible six-month run, Netflix’s acclaimed fantasy animated series Delicious in Dungeon has been greenlit for a second season. This anime adaptation is from the manga by Ryoko Kui (Dungeon Food)of the same name. The first season aired on January 4th. According to Screenrant, the announcement was made by the show’s official accounts following the season finale, which showed how successful it has been.

The second season will surely take place where the first one left off, with Laois and his companions getting on the ancient trolly, going deeper into the dungeon and coming up with a plan to defeat the mad mage and free Falin from her curse.

The series follows an unusual group of adventurers, which consists of Laios voiced by Damien Haas (Ooku: The Inner Chambers), Marcelle voiced by Emily Rudd (One Piece), Chilchuck voiced by Casey Mongillo (Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War), and Senshi voiced by SungWon Cho (God of War: Ragnarok).In a previous mxdwn article, new visuals and a trailer were released for the upcoming second season, showing numerous groups in the dungeon preparing for the final battle. The poster for the second season shows the group hunting and gathering a bunch of walking mushrooms.

According to Screenrant, on the official Delicious in Dungeon X page, short teaser and visual art were released, showing clips of the delicious meals that the group has created throughout the first season while hinting at the crew venturing deeper into the dungeon, encountering monsters, fighting them and preparing delicious meals as a result. Another post showed the group gathering walking mushrooms, with the description,”Now in production! We want to thank you for supporting #DeliciousinDungeon!

The series is well known for its unique blend of fantasy adventures and culinary exploration. While details surrounding the second season, including the plot and release date, remain under wraps, the entire first season of the anime is available to watch on Netflix.
