David W. Thompson’s Scarecrow, along with Other Villains, Get New Looks for the Final Season of Fox’s ‘Gotham’

The Scarecrow just got a scary makeover. Those words will only make sense if you are aware of the TV show, Gotham. With new voice and creepy look, Jonathan Crane (David W. Thompson) aka Scarecrow, returns to season five in “No Man’s Land.”

Along with Scarecrow’s modifications, there will be a more accurate change up for Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Riddler’s (Cory Michael Smith) outfits that will follow the comics. Last month, Taylor got fans excited as he spoke about Penguin’s transformation for the final season. “I can’t spoil anything specific but definitely there are parts of the traditional iconography of the Penguin that are coming into play this year,” he told us. “We’ve done everything else with this character it has its own unique twists and it’s also everything is earned and everything makes sense this character is turning into the traditional Penguin that we all know and so we see it visually as well as emotionally.”

Oswald Cobblepot’s Penguin is famous for his monocle and black top hat that truly sets him apart from looks of other villains. He will finally be wearing them this season.

Edward Nygma’s Riddler will change into a full green suit covered in question marks while also rocking his new sunglasses.

When photos were first leaked of Penguin and Riddler’s costume change up, fans were ecstatic, yet doubtful if they were the real deal. That is until, one of Gotham’s very own writer and producer, Tze Chun, took to his Twitter account to confirm that the pictures were indeed real.

You can see Chun’s tweet below.

It makes sense for all of these new changes to come out in play for our iconic DC villains. It is, after all, their last season. Why not go all out?

Season five will premiere on January 3, 2019.
