CW’s ‘My Last Days’ Shows the Inspirational Lives of People Facing Terminal Illness

According to Deadline, the CW will soon debut a docu-series that tells the stories of six real-life heroes, who help remind us all that having a short amount of time left in this world does not necessarily mean we can’t make a positive impact to those we love and people around us.

The upcoming series is titled, My Last Days and was created by Justin Baldoni, one of the leading actors on CW’s Jane The Virgin. Baldoni who will also be directing and hosting the show stated “My Last Days is an inspirational look at what happens when we detach from the material things of the world and live fully in the moment. I’m proud to share these stories that remind people that each and every one of us has the power to choose happiness and to make a difference — regardless of the hand we’ve been dealt.”

The individuals featured in the docuseries include a 19-year-old with cystic fibrosis who founded Claire’s Place Foundation, a nonprofit organization that offers support to the children and families affected by the disease, a 25-year-old battling stomach cancer, who continues to inspire others with her lively personality and love for life, and an aspiring sociologist born with an extremely rare medical condition called Mucopolysaccharidosis VI, who was not expected to live past the age of 20. She’s now 21-years-old and continues to research the disease and regularly organizes events to help spread awareness.
