The CW adds Barber Battle, an all-new, half-hour, reality competition series. The series will be hosted by actor and comedian, Cedric the Entertainer.
According to Indiewire, “Barber Battle will visit different barbershops across the country in each of the 10 ordered episodes” and “the most talented barbers from across the country will compete with their clippers to showcase their artistic hair-cutting abilities.” “Winners will be crowned the creators of the best cuts in town.”
In the series, “stylists have to go beyond mere hairstyles.” Instead, they must use their “scissors and clippers to create astonishing works of art ranging from portraits to landmarks to ballparks, all on someone’s head. Episodes will blend craft with comedy and will feature a winner each week.” Judges, locations and contestants will be announced later.
Cedric the Entertainer, who starred in a famous comedy movie franchise centered around a barbershop, will not only host, but will also serve as executive producer, along with Mark Efman.
