According to TVLine, Paramount+’s Australian rom-com, Colin From Accounts, will be coming to end. The series’ upcoming third season will serve as its final, which was revealed by stars and co-creators Patrick Brammall (Glitch, A Moody Christmas) and Harriet Dyer (No Activity, The Invisible Man) in an Instagram video on Tuesday.
See the video below:
In the video, Dyer confirms that “this is our last season”. Her and Brammall would then explain that “it feels like the right time for these characters, for this world. We don’t want to flog a dead horse.” Brammall also added, “We’re sorry if you’re disappointed. We’re going to miss it terribly.” The video also features a montage of the series’ clips, which plays in between the co-stars’ comments.
Brammall and Dyer, who are married in real life, play Gordon and Ashley, two singles living in Sydney, Australia who are brought together thanks to a dog that they name Colin. Despite the countless obstacles that they encounter, the two of them end up forming an unlikely romance. The rest of the cast includes Michael Logo (In Limbo, Inside) and Genevieve Hegney (The Little Death, The Amber Amulet), who play Gordon’s co-workers Brett and Chiara, Helen Thompson (Elvis, Kangaroo Jack) as Ashley’s mother Lynelle, and Emma Harvie (RFDS, Frayed) as Ashley’s friend Megan.
Colin From Accounts originally aired on the Australian network Binge. It debuted in the U.S. with an eight-episode first-season on November 2023, later returning for season two in September 2024. The series is produced by CBS Studios and Easy Tiger Productions while commissioned by the Foxtel group.
As of now, season three still doesn’t have a premiere date. However, sources have told TVLine that it is “coming soon.” In the meantime, the first two seasons of Colin From Accounts are available to stream on Paramount+.
