Chucky Season Three Part Two: Killer Doll Takes a Break Amid Hollywood Strike

Chucky fans can rejoice as the second part of the season is underway, but it’s going to have to wait a little longer than originally planned. According to ScreenRant, part two of Chucky’s third season will be delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Franchise creator Don Mancini (Child’s Play, Bride of Chucky) spoke with Comicbook about production updates. “It’s a necessary experiment born of the strike, yes. We were shooting right up until the point SAG-AFTRA shut everything down. Knowing that it was coming, which really, we didn’t know for sure until I think it was just like 10 days before when it was really looking like it was going that way. Universal basically told us, ‘Look, Chucky has such a presence for NBC this fall because of the mazes at the parks,’ and all that. So they really wanted something to air during Halloween season.  Knowing that it was coming, which really, we didn’t know for sure until I think it was just like 10 days before when it was really looking like it was going that way. The recent promo for Chucky Season three gives us a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming episodes. According to ScreenRant, a conclusion to Don Mancini. “So, when (the strike) happened, Universal said ‘Okay, well, this is what we can do.’ And fortuitously enough, the end of episode 4 really did lend itself (to a hiatus), and that was just coincidence, because that was always what was going to happen at the end of episode 4. And we knew that since that was the Halloween episode, as we do every year, we try to make the Halloween episode a little bit special. So it functions as a good cliffhanger because no one has ever seen Chucky in this with this particular dilemma before.”

According to ScreenRant, the series may focus on Chucky’s attempts to stop the aging process while he continues his nefarious plans and destroys the White House from the inside. He will also continue his vendetta against Jake, Devon, and Lexy played by  Zackary Arthur (The 5th Wave), Bjorgvin Arnarson (The Seventh Day), and Alyvia Alyn Lind (Overboard), respectively. We are sure to delve deeper into Tiffany Valentine portrayed by Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky) as she has her plans set in motion.
