Chris Pratt of Parks and Recreation and Guardians of the Galaxy fame is going to be making his return to the small screen. The actor is currently set to executive produce and star in a new conspiracy thriller series titled The Terminal List.
The Terminal List will be based on the Jack Carr novel of the same name, and will reportedly be an open-ended series that will be able to run for multiple seasons, rather than limited series. The story follows the main character Reece, played by Pratt, a Navy SEAL on a covert mission who falls into an ambush. Following the ambush, Reece’s memories of the event are foggy, and he has to work to piece together what really happened that day. A log line for the show reads: “As he returns home with conflicting memories of the event and questions about culpability, new evidence comes to light when Reece discovers dark forces working against him.”
Pratt will be producing the series alongside director Antoine Fuqua of The Magnificent Seven. MRC TV and Civic Center Media, the two studios behind HBO’s series The Outsider, will be producing the series. The Terminal List is not currently connected to any network, but the show will be shopped around to various networks such as FX. Should the series be picked up, it would be Pratt’s first television role since Parks and Recreation wrapped in 2015. Since wrapping the series, Pratt has starred in a number of feature films, including Guardians of the Galaxy and related Marvel films, The Lego Movie franchise, and the Jurassic World films. Pratt also starred in the film The Magnificent Seven, which was directed by Fuqua in 2016. Since then, Fuqua has worked producing a number of television dramas, including Ice, Training Day, Shooter, and The Resident.
