Chokin’ and Tokin’: Seth Rogen and Conan O’Brien Share a Joint on ‘Conan’

Deemed the professor of weed by Conan O’Brien himself, Seth Rogen (An American Pickle) got the late night talk show host to light up and smoke a joint with him on air. Rogen was the guest of honor on Conan Tuesday night, and to commemorate the show’s last week, the pair kicked back and lit up, via Entertainment Weekly

Thursday marks the final episode of Conan on TBS, and during his last week O’Brien has had parade of guests, including comedians Bill Hader (Barry) and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man). But Rogen took it to a whole other level on Tuesday night when he reached into his jacket pocket and handed O’Brien a joint. The late night host proceeded to indulge on what he called “fine herb” and proceeded to pass it to Rogen, who then passed it to beloved sidekick, Andy Richter (Love, Victor).

It all started with O’Brien discussing how once Conan goes off the air, he’s going to have a lot of free time on his hands. Rogen, who now owns his own weed company called Houseplant, suggested that O’Brien take up smoking:“Yeah I think you do have time on your hands. I would suggest, this will be hilariously on brand, try smoking lot of weed for a long time.” O’Brien admitted he’s never been a big pot smoker and that he enjoys his “lucidity.” He looked to Rogen for guidance, asking, “You know me, what would you want me smoking?” Needless to say, things escalated quickly .

Rogen proceeded to take a joint and lighter out of his pocket and handed it to O’Brien, saying, “I think you should take one hit of that weed and you’ll have really good time.” Needing no further encouragement, O’Brien lit up the joint and took a hit as the audience and Rogen cheered on. Then both Rogen and Richter indulged as well as the room became filled with smoke. Afterwards, Rogen broke into laughter saying:“I’m so happy with what just happened.”

After his appearance, Rogen went on Twitter to express his pleasant surprise at how things turned out on Conan, revealing the segment was a spur of the moment decision. See his full tweet below:

With two episodes left, the finale of Conan airs Thursday night on TBS at 11 p.m. E.T featuring guest Jack Black (School of Rock). Watch Rogen and O’Brien toke up and share a joint below:
