Simon Cowell confirmed using his Twitter account that the pop singer is coming back for The X Factor U.K.’s 11th season.
Cheryl Cole is returning to the U.K.’s The X Factor and according to The Hollywood Reporter, everything was confirmed by Simon Cowell via Twitter: “It’s official! Cheryl is back,” he tweeted. “Be careful what you wish for.” Also, Cole posted an image on her Facebook page of herself choking Cowell saying “GUESS WHAT!!.. I’m baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck #XFactor2014 #leggooo,” as reported by The Wrap.
The Girls Aloud star was a judge on the british show through 2010 and before that she had briefly the same role on the now-canceled U.S. version. Cowell said the singer’s return will be an asset in the show’s mission to find a superstar. “Most importantly, she is a brilliant judge of talent,” he added.
Simon Cowell recently announced his return to The X Factor U.K. after an absence of three years and it should be mentioned that the last time he was on the show, the final episode drew 17.2 million viewers (the most recent season finale had only 9.11 million viewers).
The reunion was made possible because of Cowell’s decision to abandon the FOX show and return to the U.K. version, which he created and served as a judge from 2004.
