Charlie Cox Shared Details About Creative Difficulties On ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

Disney+ shared more information on the highly anticipated series Daredevil: Born Again. The company geared up to make the best version of the character. Listening to fans, Disney recasts Charlie Cox (The Defenders) for the new series. Along with Cox Jon Bernthal (Punisher) will be returning to the cast as well. Bernthal will come back as Frank Castle, better known as Punisher.

Daredevil originated on Netflix following Cox’s character Matt Murdock. After three popular seasons, the show came to an end leaving fans never to stop raving about the show. When rumors of the reboot began speculating, viewers pushed for the return of their original Daredevil. The new series will continue to follow Murdock’s journey as lawyer by day and vigilante by night. This time Murdocks worst enemy Wilson Fisk played by Vincent D’Onofrio (The Magnificent Seven) will return to his city in the shape of a popular political figure. Murdock must take down Fisk before it’s too late.

In a Hollywood Reporter article, Disney shared that when it came to creative decisions for the show it was quite difficult. The crew of the show faced several creative changes halfway through the production. The team found that the show was not living up to their expectations which caused a change in tone on the production. Not only have they faced difficulty with getting the show working, but the team endured a brief pause in development for the writers and actors strike.

Despite hardships, Cox is still excited for the series premiere. Cox shared his love and praise for the show with The Hollywood Reporter “I don’t know many companies that would do that — that takes a lot of personnel, it takes a lot of money, so it’s so cool to be standing here today and feeling thrilled with the product, that we ended up in the place we wanted to be”. With a premiere date of March 5th, 2025 fans rave about the updates and get ready for the new series.
