Cee Lo Green’s ‘The Good Life’ Cancelled after Just One Season

TBS has no love for singer Cee Lo Green or his unscripted series The Good Life, cancelling the show after its six episode debut run this summer.

The cancellation comes in the wake of controversial tweets the musician sent over the weekend regarding rape. Cee Lo first suggested rape can only occur if a woman is conscious, in a tweet that makes very little sense, “If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously! So WITH implies consent,” and followed that up by dismissing the idea of date rape. “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!”

TBS claims the cancellation is solely based on the show’s ratings, however the timing of this cancellation says otherwise. Cee Lo has since deleted his twitter account, probably a good call considering he can only make things worse for himself at this point if he tweets more of his views.
