CBS’ ‘Cupertino’ Starring Mike Colter Debuts With 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score

CBS’ new legal thriller Cupertino, starring Mike Colter (Evil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones) and Rachel Keller (Tokyo Vice, Fargo, Legion), has debuted with perfect Rotten Tomatoes score. According to ScreenRant, the series currently holds a 100% critics score based on six reviews, with an average rating of 8.6 out of 10.

The score could change as additional reviews are added, but the early reception marks a strong start for the new CBS drama. The series reunites Colter with husband and wife creators Robert King (The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Elsbeth) and Michelle King (The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Elsbeth), who previously worked with the actor on Evil. The duo also created The Good Wife and its spinoffs.

Cupertino follows Michael Price, played by Colter, a lawyer who is pushed out of his job by his former employer, a tech startup. Rather than backing down, Michael joins forces with Olivia Siffre, played by Keller, who was also fired from the company.

Together, Michael and Olivia begin representing people who have been taken advantage of by members of the technology industry. The series is described as a David-versus-Goliath story as the pair takes on powerful figures controlling Silicon Valley.

The cast also includes Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton, One Life to Live, Pistol Whipped), Busy Philipps (Dawson’s Creek, Freaks and Geeks, He’s Just Not That Into You), Ella Stiller (Hubie Halloween, Friday, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb), Nik Dodani (Atypical, The Parenting, Twisters) and Max Antonio Gonzalez (Cupertino).

The Hollywood Reporter’s Daniel Fienberg also gave the series a positive review, describing it as a “must-watch.” While noting that the 10 episodes provided to critics may not reach the level of some of the Kings’ previous work, the review praised the new legal drama overall.

Cupertino premieres Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
