According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, Memento) has joined Netflix’s FUBAR series as an antagonist in the second season. Moss will join as a former East German spy and former flame of Luke Brenner, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator, Predator).
Reportedly, Moss will play Greta Nelso, an adversary of Brenner and his daughter who poses a threat to the whole world.
FUBAR marks Schwarzenegger’s first time starring in TV series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series’ first season premiered in May of 2023, and, in June of 2023, the series was renewed for a second season. In the first season, Brenner is pulled out of near-retirement from the CIA to rescue another agent, who he discovers to be his daughter Emma Brenner, played by Monica Barbaro (The Cathedral, Top Gun: Maverick). The two must work together, and, in doing so, fix their relationship. The series also stars Milan Carter (Warped, Dolemite Is My Name), Fortune Femister (Sex Appeal, Last Comic Standing), Travis Van Winkle (Road House, The Last Ship), Fabiana Udenio (Austen Powers: International Man Of Mystery, Jane The Virgin), Barbara Eve Harris (Ignition, Prison Break), Aparna Briella (A.P. Bio, Mallrats), Andy Buckley (The Office, Bridesmaids), Jay Baruchel (Blackberry, This Is The End).
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the series is produced by Skydance Television, and its showrunner is Nick Santora (Reacher, Scorpion). Schwarzenegger, Adam Higgs (Reacher, Scorpion), Scott Sullivan (Scorpion, NCIS: Los Angeles), Phil Abraham (Most Dangerous Game, Ozark), Amy Pocha (Paradise PD, Farzar), Seth Cohen (Whiskey Cavalier, Paradise PD), David Ellison (The Tomorrow War, Star Trek Into Darkness), Dana Goldberg (Star Trek Beyond, Annihilation), and Mat Thunell (Stanger Things, Reacher)
FUBAR season two production began in late April, but a release date has not been announced. The first season is available to watch on Netflix.
