Busy Philipps is going to become a hero.
Deadline reports that Philipps has been cast as one of the leads in NBC pilot The Sacket Sisters. The new pilot, written by Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Luke Del Tredici, is a single-camera comedy from 30 Rock‘s Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.
The Sackett Sisters centers on two sisters suddenly thrust into the public eye after performing an act of heroism. Philipps is set to play one of the sisters.
Philipps was most recently on HBO’s Vice Principals as Danny McBride’s ex-wife. She has also recently guest starred on series like I Like You Just the Way I Am, Drunk History, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, New Girl and Angie Tribeca.
The Sackett Sisters is executive produced by Del Tredici, Fey, Carlock and David Miner. The series comes from Universal TV, Little Stranger and 3 Arts Entertainment.
