Tamara Taylor from the hit series Bones has joined the cast of the upcoming NBC procedural Law & Order: Organized Crime, according to Deadline. Taylor is best known for her role as Dr. Camille Soryan in Fox hit series Bones, which ran for eleven seasons. Taylor recently tweeted just how excited she is about the new role.
The Law & Order: SVU spinoff Law & Order: Organized Crime is slated to premiere later this year according to Deadline. The spinoff will star Christopher Meloni as Det. Elliot Stabler and previously reported Dylan McDermott. The series follows NYPD detective Stabler as he battles organized crime after a devastating personal loss. Aiming to rebuild his life as part of a new elite task force that is taking apart the city’s most powerful criminal outlaws on syndicate at a time.
Created by Dick Wolf (Law & Order, Chicago Fire), he will also serve as executive producer for the upcoming series. Ilene Chaiken is the showrunner as well as executive producer of the series along with Terry Miller (Chicago P.D.), Fred Berner (Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire) Arthur W. Forney (Law & Order: SVU, New York Undercover) and Peter Jankowski (Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire).
Taylor made her feature film debut in Tyler Perry’s Diary Of A Mad Black Woman. Since then she has starred opposite Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz for eleven seasons in the Fox procedural Bones. Taylor had a recurring role in the first season of Netflix’s Altered Carbon, and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2020 as well as starred in Netflix’s October Faction.
