Billy The Kid Renewed For A Second Season On MGM+

Western fans can rejoice as the epic romantic adventure series Billy The Kid has been renewed for a second season on MGM+, according to Deadline. In the new season, Billy the Kid will be facing one of his oldest friends, Jesse Evans, and the corrupt power of the Santa Fe Ring.

According to Deadline, MGM+, formerly known as Epix, is saddling up to continue the series inspired by the Life events of one of America’s most notorious outlaws. The series is produced by MGM+, Amazon Studios, Pan- English Scripted TV, and the rebranding division run by Rola Bauer (The Pillars of the Earth) in association with Amblin Television and De line Pictures. The series was created and written by Michael Hirst (Vikings), who also executive produces alongside Donald De Line (Ready Player One), Darryl Frank (The Americans), and Justin Falvey (Halo).

Epix just launched its new streaming service MGM+ and with it a variety of great series, and films, amongst them, Billy the Kid. Billy The Kid premiered in April 2022 and tells the story of a gunslinger who faces many challenges in the American Frontier. The first season of the series was composed of nine episodes and explored the character of William H. Bonney also known as Billy the Kid, and his involvement in New Mexico’s Lincoln County War.  The renewal of the series will follow the consequences of the main character’s actions from season one as he became one of the most wanted men in the Wild West.

The series stars Tom Blyth (Benediction), Daniel Webber (Escape from Pretoria),  Eileen O’Higgins (Mary Queen of Scots), Sean Owen Roberts (Painkiller Jane), Dakota Daulby (Mayans M.C.), Ryan Kennedy (Hellcats), and many more.

No official date has been set for Billy the Kid as of now, but many can experience season one of the series on MGM+.
